Jim FatzingerDr. Jim Fatzinger – Supply Chain, Strategic Planning, Evaluation  Dr. Fatzinger is a tenure-track faculty member at EKU and the President of the Kentucky Fulbright Association. He developed his current research agenda studying entrepreneurship in the wake of natural disasters after his family lost their home in the Florida Keys during Hurricane Irma. He is very familiar with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Disaster Recovery, and the Disaster Loan Assistance Process. 

Prior to coming to EKU, Dr. Fatzinger served as a Presidential Fellow at Auburn University and an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow, “the nation’s premier higher education leadership development program preparing senior leaders to serve American colleges and universities.” In 2007, he was recruited by leadership at West Point to build the first, four-year public institution of the 21st century from scratch where he opened $130M in new construction, grew the fledgling institution from 118 to over 12,000+ students, and achieved SACS/COC accreditation faster than any institution in history with no recommendations in his areas of responsibility. 

Dr. Fatzinger also developed the outcomes, assessment, and evaluation for a Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Program serving as the inaugural instructor for its first two cohorts. He is an Eagle Scout and served several years on the Philmont National Junior Leader Instructor Camp Staff. Jamie, his fiancé​, also works at EKU and they are the proud owners of 4 dogs, "Stars," "Stripes,"Wingman," and their latest, "Rosie the Riveter," adopted during the Covid-19 Crisis from the Jessamine Animal Shelter.

Qian XiaoDr. Qian Xiao – Strategy  Qian Xiao is Associate Professor of Management at the Eastern Kentucky University. She received her PhD in Management from University of Alabama. Her research has been presented at both national and international meetings and has been published in journals such as Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business and Entrepreneurship, Journal of Education for Business, International Journal of Healthcare Quality Assurance, etc. Her teaching covers topics of management and strategy. She teaches both upper level undergraduate courses and MBA courses.
