Johnson County flood relief

The Office of Military & Veteran Affairs and the EKU Vets Club are collecting supplies to assist residents of Johnson County, Ky., who have been affected by the recent flooding and damaging storms. 

Although clothing items are not needed, the below items are in high demand.  Donations will be collected in front of the Burnam House (317 Lancaster Ave.) until 12:00 pm on Friday, July 24. 

  • Towels
  • Lysol
  • Brooms and mops
  • Buckets
  • Dust pans
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Clorox wipes
  • Rubber gloves
  • Jackets
  • Baby diapers, food, formula and wipes
  • Water
  • Non-perishable foods
  • Wash cloths
  • Personal items
  • Aspirin/Tylenol
  • Band-aids
  • Contact solution
  • Paper towels
  • Flashlights
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Toilet paper
  • Ointments
  • Batteries
  • Blankets and pillows
  • Clorox
  • Bug spray
  • Can openers

Donation’s will also be collected at:

  • In the Powell Student Center – a drop box will be located in the Middle Powell Game Room
  • John Grant Crabbe Main Library – a drop box will be located next to the circulation desk
  • Business & Technology Center – a drop box will be located in BTC 030

No donation is too small, and all are greatly appreciated!!!
